Wellbutrin and guanfacine combo is awesome

I am taking Wellbutrin for a couple months now and always experienced some insomnia. Even past the 4 weeks of side effects. I got diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed WB in rehab so when I got out, the insomnia was messing with me. It was making me crave sleeping pills and weed. The doctor said I had too high adrenaline levels and said guanfacine is a non addictive solution to this. It worked like a charm. I take it at 6pm and I’m yawning by 10pm.

What I like about the combo is that there both ADHD meds, they just fine tune each other. Wellbutrin fixes my attention span, and guanfacine helps with my hyperactivity and that ‘wired’ feeling. I started at 1 but I’m going to 2mg and I’m also going from 75mg WB to 100mg WB since the 100mg pill is sustained release. I also like how guanfacine isn’t sedating like antihistamines, TCAs, or Z-drugs. It JUST cancels out the insomnia that Wellbutrin causes.
