Dark Alliance

My cousin and I used to play Dark Alliance II all the time. Been one of my favorite games my whole life. Somehow I've never played the first one - is it good? Or should I just replay the second one for the hundredth time? (I won't be upset doing this).

I play on PC if it matters.
