Whether or not to use my jobs on my resume
I’m trying to weigh out whether or not to use my work experience on my resume. I’m a high school graduate as of last year, but my only real experience has been a job at a tutoring center for about a month and my current bakery job I’ve had for 2 months. I left when I got my second job, which I’ve been at for 2 months and I’m already pretty unhappy there. I left the first job because I was hired under the impression that I would just be tutoring younger kids, like in grade school, but found out I was actually teaching kids in the age range of 3-5 how to read from the ground up. When I picked up my second job I communicated with my managers that I would be doing so but they started threatening me with a “contract” that wasn’t actually real just to spook me and I left kind of on the spot. The job I’m at now is a small mom and pop shop that has pretty much all 19 year olds that don’t know how to do the job and haven’t been trained well by either of the owners. Not only that, the food and safety standards are questionable enough that i’m not comfortable eating some of the food items and its for bare minimum wage. Both jobs have had few hours along with that. Not to make it a vent post, but I’m desperate to go somewhere more structured with even a little bit more money. I know the job market is trash right now, but I want to know if I can get away with not listing these jobs on my resume, since I’m worried about my bosses leaving me bad reviews for leaving early or looking bad for only being there for a three month period in total. I’m also scared of lying on my resume. I don’t know very much about the hiring process, everyone around me is telling me to get a new job but are kind of bad at giving resume advice so I feel lost. Again, sorry for the large chunk of venting, I’m struggling :(
