Lens Type Recommended for Half-Blind?
I use Eyemart Express and am trying to buy a pair of glasses I can see with. I am completely blind in my right eye and solely rely on my left eye to see. My prescription is Power: -8.75 Cyl: -0.25 Axis: 135
A week ago, the salesperson ordered me High Index 1.67 lenses because they are thinner and I can get them for free with my insurance. The problem is that I cannot use them without my vision frequently going blurry from using my peripheral vision, to the point of getting a headache. I am always relying on my peripheral vision for everything and will be a danger on the road if I attempt to drive with them.
Eyemart Express only offers Plastic (CR-39), Polycarbonate, and High Index options. Would anyone please be kind enough to recommend me a lens type because I don’t know enough about plastic or polycarbonate lenses to choose between the two. I don’t care if my lenses make me look like a freak with bug eyes, I just want to see clearly again.
