Unallocated, bad sectors, disk still spins, no clicking noises or “bad noises” need help with recovering
So as the title suggests i have a somewhat old 1tb western digital green internal hard drive I used all the time for a few games but it was mostly for my edits, extra storage for pictures, and a lot of videos that I had over the past 6 years of my life. The drive seems to be working fine on a physically level with no clicking or grinding noises. It shows up in disk management as unallocated and when I run programs like crystal disk info or ones that checks for sectors all I see across the whole thing is bad sectors. I tried across 3 different computers all of which have different parts. I tried using other programs to recovery my hard drive but it doesn’t seem like it can even fetch the data from the drive. I have went to a website ( I forgot the name ) that gives estimates on how much it will cost to recovery my data and 1k for recovery when being a college student doesn’t seem like a good idea as of right now. Any thing helps so please comment 🙏.
P.S. Sorry if a lot of what I said don’t make sense but I’ll make sure to clear things up more if anyone responses thank you for any help as well.
