Dumb American Passing Through

Hello, I'm a casual American fan who enjoys football. I'm looking to get more into the Premier League and am looking for a team. Also, the team I support in MLS has been dog shit for a few years now (Sporting KC)

When I was younger, I used to say that I liked Arsenal because they had a cool name. However, I have come to understand that they are like the Yankees or Lakers of the Premier League and I don't want to root for one of the normie teams. This mainly comes from the fact that I'm from the Midwest.

Anyway, the point of all this is that I'm leaning towards Nottingham Forrest as my team. I heard recently that they are a team that people often forget about. They seem like a team that's not just going to get immediately relegated causing me to look for a new team.

Looking for suggestions if anyone has one.
