Lake water sprinkler system - water more? NW Iowa

I have a sprinkler system that pulls water from a lake. Should I just water every day? Its half new seed and half new sod and I've been working it down to 4am and 5am every day. Scared to back down any further and won't until this heat subsidies but a part of me thinks it's free water other than the electricity for the pump so I can water as much as I want. Its KBG
