Feel like I’m just bad at the game

Recently decided to come back to GU after watching some old gen challenge videos like randomizers but I only ended up getting really discouraged after like 1 or 2 on tier hunts because not an expert on old gen but pretty sure an on gear hunt shouldn’t be carting to high rank village Rathalos twice and taking 30 minutes… like I try to play aggressively and get punished, I try to take it slow and it ends up taking 30+ minutes… Am I just fundamentally bad at the game or something because this is what killed my enjoyment the first time
