Tulio had no way of knowing Jewel's name

As the title reads, there is no in-universe explanation for how Tulio knew what the female Spix's macaw he captured was called.

One could argue he simply named her "Jewel" because she needed a name for documentation/care purposes, and he chose that title based on her stunning appearance. This seems the most reasonable.

Being as this is the exact same one that her mother and/or father gave her when she hatched, it would merely be a crazy coincidence. The main caveat to this would be that Tulio and her parents had similar thought processes.

Not sure if anyone has ever thought about this, but I found it interesting to consider. Food for thought, if you will.
