Hello random people suffering as well as myself. Please tell me if what I'm asking is selfish or wrong
Sorry I didn't know what flair to post. Anyway here's my story and I fell embarrassed as the steam deck sub kicked me off so fast.
Hey everyone, I want to apologise because I made a similar post yesterday but was quite drunk as you can understand if you read on.
This is a post I never thought I'd be making.
I've recently been diagnosed with stage 4B lung and liver cancer. The time I've been given is roughly 6 to 12 months. Right now I'm trying to make the most of the time I have left, mostly smoking weed but my right side seems to hurt worst now.
One thing I've always wanted is a Steam Deck as I don't currently have anything to even game on. Gaming has been a huge escape for me over the years, and having something portable would mean I could still play my favourite games from hospital beds, waiting rooms, and wherever treatment takes me. Unfortunately, 3 years ago I got addicted to heroin and it completely ruined my life. I was selling every gaming equipment I had to the clothes off the back of my skin to get another hit. Anyway, I've been clean for almost 3 years and it's been hard to say the least.
I know these aren't cheap, I live in Australia and just the LCD model is 659$ and I'm not 7expecting anything for free. If anyone has a Steam Deck they're willing to sell for a reduced price, I'd be incredibly grateful. And if by some miracle someone has one gathering dust that they'd be willing to donate, it would honestly mean the world to me.
I can provide proof of my diagnosis to moderators if needed. I'm a huge halo fan so I still have Infinite and MCC and in July the new halo evolved engine 5 version is coming out and it's got me so so excited.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you all get many more years of gaming than I'm likely to. I promise this isn't a begging post and I'm definitely not a bot, just a stranger looking fora abit of light at the end of the tunnel. Take care my friends ❤️ and I promise I'm not begging, I just can't pay 650$ to enjoy playing with my old friends again
