Do we think Ironman Versailles gets shortened because of weather?

I am going to Versailles to do the half as a tune up but have a full in August. I am really excited for it, but if it gets shortened/cancelled I think I would rather avoid the long flight and get some more training in at home.

How long in advance do they usually say if the course will be shortened or the race cancelled?
