2026 S Select Sport Sedan Brake Question
Got a 2026 Select Sport N/A Sedan this month. I'm at about 800 miles, been driving it a lot for fun. Ever since I've had it I've felt the brakes are weak.
The car only had 4 miles on it when I got it, and I haven't had to slam on the brakes that I know of during the break in period of 600 miles. Could the brakes be glazed from a previous test drive? Hard to imagine with only 4 miles on it when I test drove it.
How much pedal travel do y'all experience? I've driven plenty of new cars, mine and my friend's/family's over the years, and the brakes are always crisp and quick to grab compared to the beaters I've driven. Like you barely step on the pedal and they grab. I'm feeling like I have to push the pedal at least halfway to 3/4s down to get any meaningful stopping power, and if I do have to stop more abruptly then it's like a steady push almost all the way to the floor.
I'm planning on doing a break in oil change at 1000 miles (I got 10 oil changes bundled with the car), should I ask the techs at the dealership to look at the brakes?
