Eventide Petals and Aldur's Legacy

I am currently going for a freeze wolf minion build with my druid and came across the Eventide Petals unique after farming the meteor boss. I started thinking about using aldur's legacy on it and was wondering a few things.

1. If i extract it, do I get the Midnight Zenith skill/buff
2. If i do, and I place it in a amulet socket (if i get lucky on corrupting), will it work with my minions?

The text says "Critical Hits with other skills that kill targets" and wondered if my wolf pack/cackling companions count as a skill.
