how do i even build practical skills, where do i start

i am a data sci student, i am done with my first year, i did pre med in highschool due which my foundations in all this cs and coding are weak,I've tried hard enough for this past year, i really, reallyyyy want to freelance and earn for myself, i am way too expensive for my middle class family, i had 3 month summer break and wamted to do as many courses as possible but it's been a month already and i havent done anything at all, i am so confused and overwhelmed that WHAT DO I DO AND WHERE DO I START, WHAT SKILL SHOULD I PICK,HOW DO I STICK TO IT, i stress out and crash out everyday that time is running but i am too burnt out and demotivated to hold myself and actually do something, people ny age and younger than me are earning already which makes me even sad,i got into this degree because everyone kept saying it's the fastest way to income and all i ever wanted was a better life:( pls guide me i really cant do this anymore
