Skill regression
I'm AuDHD. I wasn't diagnosed by the doctor and TBF and not gonna pursue it because that's pointless in my case, I had been researching the topic a lot and pretty much sure about my traits, like 100%.
The thing is eversince I understood I'm awootistic I got under this wave of my social skill regression. I see NT patterns, I see small talks, some people even want to hangout with me, but I pretty much don't, because it's either not going anywhere, sometimes it's just a waste of time (there's no point literally, it only would suck me up).
I have my own things which I like the most, like sports / videogames / IT, I've got my internet friends I like to talk to or to play games with. Funnily enough, most of the people I'm talking to or just the people that I keep talking to are also on the spectrum, that's just so weird how double empathy works, over the years we've just were sticking to each other, through time and space. I had been talking to NTs before but always found them boring, they feel exhausting as well, I don't hate NTs, but we're defo different breed, I like to exchange information, I like to do things.
I'm kinda afraid of my skill regression, but more over in professional way, because I want to keep my autonomy and to expand it, but I'm afraid that it's gonna be very exhausting in the professional world of linkedin bullshitters and stuff, you know. You gotta to sell your skills, to play people and to be tricky if you want to exist more or less comfortable life.
Before I understood myself I enjoyed going out to social venues and was curious to talk to the people, but even back then they approached me either as being "too serious" or even sometimes were spooked by my blazing awootistic stare, which is funny (I'm close to bear mode and sometimes people go fawing when I look at them, lol). I was talking to the person, exchanging information autistically, but they were acting very very uncomfortable, as if I was interrogating them and I couldn't get the point, like the tensions was in the air, hahah.
But how do you guys cope?
