I've never played a Pokemon game, I'm getting a Switch 2, Do you have any recommendations?

I've never had any sort of gaming console, but I decided to get a switch 2 for myself soon. I have no gaming experience but am very interested in maybe playing a pokemon game! I'd appreciate any recommendations, or just general knowledge I should have before playing a game!! Thank you!!
