The dating scene is brutal

I'm a bi trans woman and it's impossible to find someone. Now granted, I don't live in a major metro area but I've been looking for years to no avail. When I do match with guys or girls that are at my standard they lose interest once they realize I'm trans. I had no idea it would be this difficult to find someone. And I hear people say "it's not just you, it's just like that" but man. I hate that I feel like I have to lower my standards which isn't something I would have to do if I were cis. Is there a way to find guys or girls open to a person like me or do I just prepare myself mentally to being single forever?
