Domestic violence and relocation

My child’s father sent me hundreds of texts to try to convince me to have an abortion and that he was praying for a miscarriage when I was pregnant. He had a change of heart and wanted to us to be a family. Fast forward, as soon as I had the child he completely changed. Controlling, and abusive verbally and financially. He also showed aggression to our baby. I have everything documented. We are in the middle of a custody case, I had to relocate because he essentially made me homeless with his control. Removed my name from the lease behind my back and told the cops he was planning to change the locks on me. Anyone have advice or been through something similar. I want him to be involved in her life in a safe manner and for him to get help. He had an extremely traumatic childhood that he uses to excuse his behavior and his control issues.
