Type 2 rosacea flare ups are ruining my mental health.. please tell me it gets better
Hey guys, im just sitting here crying in front of the mirror and really needed to vent to people
who actually understand how exhausting this is.
I was diagnosed with type 2 rosacea last year and it feels like a constant uphill battle. Just when
I think my skin is finally clearing up and the pustules are calming down, I wake up with a
massive flare up out of absolutely nowhere. My cheeks are bright red, burning, and covered in
those tiny, painful little bumps that look like acne but definitely arent.
It makes me want to cancel all my plans and just hide in my room. People at work always ask
me if I got a sunburn or if im having an allergic reaction, and even though I know they mean
well, it just makes me feel so self concious. I feel like im doing everything right. I use a super
gentle cleanser, a basic moisturizer, and I never skip sunscreen, but my face still reacts to
literally everything.
Im just so tired of my skin dictating my mood and my life. Does anyone else struggle with the
mental toll of this condition? How do you guys cope on days when your face feels like its on
fire?
If anyone has any holy grail calming routines or even just some words of encouragement,
please drop them below. I realy need some hope right now because it feels like my skin will
never be normal again.
