Xperia 1 viii esim issues Australia

Just wondering if anyone else is having issues with their mobile connectivity as I'm having a few.

My first issue was the mobile network connectivity was draining my battery super quick. This doesn't seem to be an issue now but now I'm having general connectivity issues.

The esim is constantly "forgetting" the attached phone number causing there to be no mobile connectivity.

When I switch the esim on and off it will fix it for a short time and then I lose mobile connectivity after about 5 minutes.

Sometimes I will lose it and be unable to call or message out even when it is showing as connected and the number is still showing in the esim.

I have done resets and even re downloaded a new esim but the issue continues. I'm going to get a new physical sim later to see if this fixes the issue but it is annoying having this issue with a brand new phone.
