Starting back up on my weight loss!
And I already lost 3 pounds last week!! 🥰 goodbye 200!!!
It's actually so much easier when you eat right instead of starving yourself - who would've thought?? 🤦♀️
Actually though, I really just started biking most days of the week, eating fewer calories overall, and making the calories I do eat count for more. More protein, more fiber, more healthy foods, more healthy snacks.
Cutting back on dessert has helped DRAMATICALLY!! I still eat dessert, I just go multiple days without it now instead of having it every night. I thought I would die if I didn't have a sweet treat after dinner every night, but it turns out I can do it. It gives me more time to listen to my body when it IS craving sweets, too. For example, I went many days without dessert last week, and finally got some ice cream last night. I started with one scoop, but my body was like "girl you know damn well you need to go get another scoop..." so I did! I'm not having dessert again for 5 more days so why not!! I was craving it, and it felt good to enjoy my craving. Plus I dipped some banana slices in bitter chocolate and froze them for a little after-dinner delight, which has been so good for keeping the cravings at bay. I can just have a couple of those and I'm solid!!! Would TOTALLY recommend dark chocolate dipped bananas as a healthy after-dinner treat!
I recently bought a dress in my normal size, and when I got it, I tried it on to discover it's just a tiiiiiiny bit snug. My motivation to lose 15 pounds in 6 weeks is to be able to wear that dress on my upcoming vacation, and I'm genuinely so motivated because that dress is STUNNINGGGGG 🥰
I think the biggest part of this is just knowing this shit is gonna take time-- but I did some math. I can be down 30 pounds or more by Christmas-- maybe even 45, but we'll see about that. The time will pass anyway, and I'm gonna feel so fucking proud of myself when I look in the mirror in December and know that I did it. I feel like I'm doing this in a much more sustainable way than I used to, which has made all the difference. My first week being down 3 pounds has shown me it just takes some quick lifestyle adjustments to be on my merry way to loving the way I feel and the way I see myself.
So please, if you've got tried-and-true recipes you want to share (especially healthy lunches to bring to the office!!), or motivation, or tips and tricks that have helped you in the past or are helping you right now, please share with me!! We're in this together, and I can share what I've been adding and reducing to keep up, as well!
I finally feel like my motivation can take me places I never thought I could go ❤️
