I am sadly listing my 944 for sale. I have some big tuition bills coming up so it is time to stop spending on this classic and give someone else the opportunity to polish it out.

I bought it locally (Louisville, KY) almost 5 years ago and drove it daily for the first 4. Needed something more practical so got a newer car last November. Thought I'd still drive the 944 on the weekends but it really has not happened. I took it down to my mechanic to make sure it is well sorted and it's now ready to go.

High-level details:

* Black on black
* 5 speed manual (no LSD)
* \~158k miles
* Sport seats, Fuchs wheels
* Over $20k of parts and maintenance done over the last 5 years (including timing belt and the entire cooling system).
* Previous owner had it painted in 2020 or '21. Two places on the metal look like they were not well prepped - one obvious and large one on the hood and another one on the driver's door above the handle. The sunroof (fiberglass) has a couple of bad spots too. Plenty of tiny chips on the front from daily driving but nothing bad.
* Interior is \~original (carpet, leather seats, dash, headliner) and it shows. Driver's seat is torn; dash is all kinds of cracked; headliner is hanging in a couple of places; door cards and carpet are tired.I installed an Alpine double-DIN unit with wireless Carplay and retrofit the cigarette lighter with a USB port/ battery voltage indicator. Clock is there but not operable. Instrument lights replaced with (red) LEDs - looks cool but not as bright as white would have been.
* Most everything works except:
   * Rear wiper deleted (have the original and a spare)
   * Driver's door handle is broken. Currently have a plastic VW one installed but the lock doesn't actuate from the outside.
   * Electric locks in general are not working - this is going to be a simple fix (bad relay or fuse).
   * Original alarm is bypassed. Aftermarket alarm (with remote entry) is installed and may be the reason the locks are not functioning. Again - should be an easy diagnosis.
   * Windshield washer reservoir does not hold fluid - think it is leaking around the headlight washer pump. I have a plug but have not tried to remove the reservoir. The headlight washer tubing is broken and disconnected under the front valence.

I am certainly leaving some things out. The listing has some more details and pictures. And I have lots of documentation and keep track of everything in a spreadsheet that I am happy to share.

Please feel free to ask questions or offer suggestions. Would love to get the $40k I have in it back but I know there's no chance of it with this mileage and condition. I feel like $25k is closer to market value given the mechanical and body condition.
