Auditor Looking to Pivot to Corp Dev / Strat Fin

I am currently on my second year at a big4. I’ve been on a F500 company that’s very quickly growing TMT client, with lots of transactions. Within the next year I’ll get experience w SOX implementation and IPOs.

I got my FMVA and BIDA to learn the technical finance and data analytics skills.

Out of curiosity?
- Is it possible for me to leave for a corpdev role or a Strat fin role?
- What would be the best exit op for me in the next year?
- As of now I’m thinking big tech, defense contractors, etc for FPA, would this be a good move in about a year?

Long term goal is to be a CFO. I went into audit to get accounting skills / CPA to leverage in a finance career.
