Is ed hard to pilot or am i just dog?

Quit the game around a month after ed was out for no particular reason and am hopping back into it. Im in like gold 4 and struggling alot with just trying to do basic bnbs and play neutral.

Would it be better to just swap charecters while i relearn the game especially after playing alot of 2xko, if so to who?

The two charecter that look neat to me is like alex and sagat but they seem difficult aswell, that or honda but he is a charge champ so idk.
