Tips on weening or if I can continue to nurse

I’m currently pregnant with my second (9 weeks) I am high risk so I asked my MFH doctor if I was safe to continue nursing she told me to stop at 24 weeks. My son (15 months) is EBF. Most post I have read recommend giving the baby a pacifier instead of offering milk to help ween. Unfortunately my son has never taken a pacifier. I’m looking for tips on ways to ween him without the use of pacifiers or advice if other high risk moms have continued to bf to birth. I don’t mind bf I just want to ensure I’m doing right by both my son and my potential baby.
