Help me out seniors

In the recent IAT exam i got a rank decent to get into any iisers except pune - abhi iiser kolkata mere ghar k pass hi hai but mereko ghar k pass rehna nhi hai - i wanna go out and explore - toh i plan on keeping tvm preference mei - please jo abhi iisers mei hai please tell me- am i making a grave mistake which i might go on to regret later or the fact that bsms in all of the iisers are same is true????
