I made an Instacart order last night. I admit it was a little late at night, maybe 9:30. I made a delivery order for $170 dollars. Something my boyfriend and I do NOT have right now. We had to even scrape that $170 together, we haven’t been able to get groceries in weeks. Finally placed an order after having not eaten all day. Dude 100% steals my order. My lunch meat, my milk, my water, my fiber pills, the wet food for my cat. Everything. I really just shopped for him, he picked it up and went “thanks! :-)” and went home. After he checked out at the store he went to a location that wasn’t mine and sat there for a while until it was checked off as delivered. I was !!!! FREAKING out, blowing him up and he’s ignoring me until he goes “my mistake, I went to the wrong address”…….okay……….I tell him where we are at and we stood outside until he finally went silent, disconnected and we, by that time, had been outside for an hour. Starving, too broke to function and more depressed than either of us have ever been. All we wanted to do was eat some chicken tenders and ice cream. So, with all of that being said. I guess I just wanted to rant. I’m so confused as to how someone can do that? How can someone be so soulless and evil? How does Instacart allow this to happen, how have they not fixed that loophole? Is this a common thing? I mean, I’m just floored. I lost almost 200 dollars at a time where I absolutely cannot afford to lose 200 dollars and this dude just got away with it and will probably do it again. Like…..stealing someone’s GROCERIES? This just seems like a different type of scum……….

Best Regards,

Someone who is very hungry

How is anyone able to actually do this to someone?
