am i screwed CV wise
TL;DR:
hoppy cv, can't find a good data engineering job, what do i do
I graduated 2021 in a good Japanese uni, and started hopping fairly quickly.
-
technical consulting, Indian firm, new grad, 8 mo
-
data scientist, infra engineer, data engineer (at the same time), crypto startup, japanese, 8 mo
-
big FMCG, data engineer, japanese, 14mo
-
big pharma, data lead, 16mo
-
US SaaS, technical consulting lead, on going 19th mo
problem is my current position is ok -- good salary full remote, but i really don't like the job itself and i had to learn a lot of stuff that's useless in industry (domain stuff, internal tools, stupid workflow that some dude made in 2002 and local dudes made it 100x more complicated)
So i was looking for an out, got into interview with couple of big brands but no offer. one reached final and i really killed the interview, but they came back as 'yeah we're looking at something specific that you don't have'. so that was a bummer.
I'm just wondering at this point it's gotta be my hoppy cv that's the hard part to convince companies, or is it my salary that's too high for a 6th year? should i stay at current place and be grateful, try to embrace it even if it means i wake up finding myself completely obsolete?
