Competing against friends made me more disciplined than any system I've tried
I've gone through the usual stuff, habit trackers, journaling, time blocking, accountability posts online. None of it hit the same as having a small group of people I actually knew who could see whether I showed up that day. Not a coach, not a group chat full of motivational quotes. Just 4-5 people with a shared leaderboard where daily sessions are visible. You log what you did, upload proof so no one's lying, and everyone can see your streak.
Someone falls off, the group notices. Someone climbs past you, you feel it. The accountability isn't from posting into a void and hoping someone claps. It's from knowing that specific people, people who'd genuinely judge you, can see your consistency in real time.
Has anyone else found this? What's actually worked for keeping you disciplined long-term, solo systems or group pressure?
