i just wrapped up my sad fanfic End Of Watch save for one last alternate ending chapter that will be posted very soon. So now i'm looking to start my next story, a HAPPY one this time. i had the idea to do a sequel to my most (only tbh) popular story Love, Sacrifice & Consequences. here is the idea i came up with, let me know if this is something you'd read.

Love, Sacrifice & Consequences RECAP: During a call, Nick was severely injured and permanently disfigured (lost his right eye) when he dove into a hail of gunfire to save Judy’s life. in the following months he recovered physically and mentally with Judy’s help, overcoming severe depression and PTSD. Not to mention corrupt racist police officers and even rescuing Judy after she’d been kidnapped. the story ended with Nick marrying Judy on the Hopps family farm, Judy took Nick’s last name, now Judy Wilde.

A lot has happened between the previous story and this one. Bogo retired and was replaced by Hogbottom as chief of police. after a year of marriage Judy and Nick had a kid together, a beautiful baby girl, a grey fox with her mother’s eyes, Dahlia. skip ahead 19 more years and Hogbottom has retired as chief of police, leaving the title to Judy. She’s been chief for the past 5 years, and Nick is her most senior officer. speaking of Nick, he has finally grown out of being ashamed of his facial scars and has ditched the eyepatch for a regular old pair of sunglasses. even more so, he hasn’t had a PTSD attack since before his daughter was born.

Dahlia grew up in the shadows of two Zootopia legends. She has dreams of following in their footsteps. So she enrolls in the Police Academy and aces every test from the written to the physical, she’s the spitting image of her own mother at that age. The day Judy pins the badge on her daughter’s chest is one of the happiest days of their lives, and where does she get sent? none other than ZPD Precinct 1. she’s ready for action, ready to make the world a better place. On her first day Chief Wilde places her with her new partner! officer……….. Wilde… her dad…. and one big problem, she wants to get into the action, but Nick is overprotective of her. Often making her wait behind or even in the car. Annoyed with the overbearing protection of her father/partner, she finds an opportunity to slip behind her parent’s backs and do her own investigation. She finds out quickly that there was a reason her parents tried so hard to protect her… This city is not as safe as she thought.

the time jump in this story makes Judy 51 years old and Nick 59, their daughter is 24, she would be the main character while Nick would be the secondary character. Judy would obviously be there too, but she’s more of a support character here.
