Do levels feel harder now?

I’ve been on level 81 (normal) for about a week now. I don’t play super regularly, just pop in daily to claim free stuff and maybe attempt a level, but before this update i noticed when viruses got close to your character, they slowed down quite a bit. This made it easier to keep your run going because you had time to pump a bunch of capsules and other weapons into the segment to destroy it before it reached you. Now it feels like they keep the same speed the entire time. I can only get 15-20% of the way through the level on one life, when before i could go about 30% before needing to watch an ad. Maybe I’m wrong but I’m worried I’m going to be stuck on this level for longer than is fun and end up just deleting the game. I’m really not enjoying this new update…
