Whitley, Dwayne and Distress

I have been watching this show since it came on Thursday night at 8:30 after the Cosby Show. I just re-watched on Netflix with my daughter and as an adult I see how all of Whitley and Dwayne’s major choices were made under distress. They never got to simply choose each other. At the beginning, it was Whitley or Kinu. Dwayne was stressed out, trying to juggle his feelings. The proposal it was New York or love with him yelling a proposal through the gate. Their marriage with him yelling vows down the aisle. Whitley never seem to know how to love. And Dwayne seemed to like the idea of Whitley more than the reality of her. I always thought it was telling that Kim knew Dwayne was out with that woman, but didn’t tell Whitley because she seemed to understand why, although Whitley was supposed to be her best friend. To me that says the most about Whitley and Dwayne‘s relationship.
