FINAL UPDATE: My fil yelled at my fiance and I at dinner

Yesterday was my wedding, and my fiance is officially my husband. The day itself was amazing and we are now on our honeymoon.

Following the apology, everything was pretty smooth leading up to the rehearsal dinner. Any conversation after that was pertaining to questions/specifics about the dinner.
Then came the rehearsal dinner.

Rehearsal before went well on my end. My officiant told me during the dinner that FIL went up to her after being told he was not walking and told the officiant that he should be officiating because he’s the only one taking it seriously and he should be the officiant. His reasoning was because he was wearing a suit and tie. Her response was that she was wearing heels (lol).

During the dinner, FIL made a speech and it was admittedly tame. The only part i disliked is when he made sure to say at the end that he’s proud of us even though “husband doesn’t always listen to his father.” Whatever lol.

I’m not sure if I mentioned it before, but we had decided on no dessert because all of the options (or so I thought) included ice cream. My husband doesn’t like ice cream (it’s a teeth sensitivity thing). At the time, thy were tame about the decision and didn’t argue, so I figured it was fine. Dessert wasn’t part of the catering package, so we’d be ordering it individually anyway. During the dinner, it was brought up by MIL and FIL no less than five times that I was the reason we didn’t have dessert. Highlights include “The powers that be decided on no dessert” “Smile even though you’re not getting dessert (this was during a picture)” and “Make sure to go up to the buffet plenty since we aren’t getting dessert”. Cool. I ignored them and just talked to my friends/family.

At the wedding, husband and I genuinely had a good time. We partied with friends, had our donut truck, woohoo. I was only made aware of a few incidences, mainly minor. The first was MIL coming into the bridal suite, when I asked her not to. MOH took care of it for me. The second was when my officiant went into the grandparents/parents waiting room to grab her bag. MIL looked at her and said “You look.. comfortable.” I told officiant to just let it be, officiant told her she looks beautiful. Other than that, the night went well.

FIL texted the night (maybe two) before and said he wanted to move on and start new.
