D099 PASSING TIPS (RUSHED)
Made a D099 (Sales Management) study kit that got me through it. 350 question adaptive drill plus flashcards. Sharing the GitHub links below.
Just passed D099 For my very last class to graduate so figured I'd pass this on. A study guide and Exam practice. For reference i only studied for a week maybe 5-8 hours total across days most the day before and hours before test. Ive never watched a cohort or read the material in book. Never failed a single exam here. Most people made me overthink on here saying the tests were so hard so if you're overthinking and don't like reading boring stuff this could help you. This is what worked for me being busy and kind of lazy with it, score could have been better if i spent more time. BTW everyone who said this test wasn't like the PA was exaggerating , there was so many non scenario questions I think people just expect a re skinned PA.
I pulled questions from the module quizzes, unit tests, and the PA, then verified every answer against the official WGU study guide, multiple student study guides, and cross referenced Quizlet decks. I compared keys across sources instead of trusting any single one. For the trickier concepts like ABC costing step order, the Shapiro customer classification matrix, and incremental sales force sizing, I went to the actual textbook material to settle it. So the keys are cross checked, not copied.
What you get is a single HTML drill file that runs in your browser with nothing to install. 350 questions, filterable by source:
- The 70 question PA
- All the unit tests
- The module quizzes with their full case study scenarios attached (the Ren, Maya, Endothon stories, since those questions are impossible without them)
- A deep Focus tab for the heaviest weighted concepts
It tracks your accuracy per topic, remembers across sessions, and automatically feeds you more of whatever you keep getting wrong. Every question is tagged with its origin so you know which unit or module it came from, and each one explains why the right answer is right and why the traps are wrong, so you learn the pattern instead of just the answer.
The Focus tab is where I put the concepts that show up as scenario traps and that the heavy modules lean on. That covers the full set of appraisal errors (halo, horn, leniency, central tendency), groupthink, Pareto, KAM, the RACI matrix, modular versus the four standard org structures, power skills, intermediary types like distributor versus agent versus wholesaler, and recoverable versus non recoverable draws. Each one is scenario style with full reasoning.
Heaviest weighted topics for anyone about to sit it: how CRM works and why it matters, centralized versus decentralized versus matrix structures, quantitative versus qualitative forecasting, comp types, customer attrition, and HR and recruiting. Modules 3, 5, 7, 11, and 12 carried the most weight for me.
WGU doesn't publish official keys for the unit and module quizzes but i made sure they were right in the course content.
As i said before this is what worked for me, Every test i took I looked on reddit and saw horror stories about people need 3-4 attempts, but every time the test was much easier than expected. If you are pressed on time or energy this will help you get by, anything extra and you're golden. Also nothing is a guaranteed pass , this type of cramming wont work for everyone if you need to watch crash course videos or read material do it this is simply a filled in wgu study guide and all the practice questions in one place each one teaching you why its right/wrong. Overall my time here was nice , but i'm glad I passed all my classes and get to move on.
Links are below. Good luck, it's a very doable test once the scenario patterns click.
