What’s your favorite horn?

We’ve been building air horns since 1936, and one thing we’ve learned is that everyone has a favorite horn.
Some people love the deep tone of a Truktone. Others won’t settle for anything but the classic Stuttertone. We’ve heard stories of firefighters recognizing departments by the sound of their apparatus long before they could see them.

As a manufacturer, that’s one of the coolest parts of what we do. Every now and then we’ll hear from someone who says, “I remember hearing that horn when I was a kid,” or “That’s the sound that made me want to become a firefighter.”

So we’re curious:

What’s the most iconic air horn you’ve ever heard?
Could be on a fire engine, semi truck, locomotive, boat, or anything else. Bonus points if you’ve got photos or stories.

We’d love to hear them.
