Do DC Compacts/All Comics have dull colors?

I recently got into comic books and have only been reading on my old tablet - I picked up Batman The Court of Owls as a DC Compact comparing the colors (esp blacks) they pop way less then on the tablet.

I was curious is this just a dc compact thing? Or would regular tpb's also looks muted compared to what I can see on my tablet (not a oled tablet or anything fancy - 13 year old IPAD Air) or is that just something compacts im particular lose out on to save money?
