Hello everyone! I am new to tarot and still learning the nuances of each card, so I am curious about others thoughts on this career spread I did this evening and if there’s anything I may be missing in my own interpretations.

Using The Lovely Ladies Tarot Deck by Brittany Keller

Spread I used:

1. What is the current energy around my career? - Page of Cups - I am still young in my career. I am a creative person but that isn’t necessarily reflected in my current career path, so I think it focuses more on how I’m daydreaming my future career choices, but not necessarily making concrete steps towards that future.

2. What pattern, mindset, or situation is holding me back? - Seven of Wands clarified by the Emperor - I think this means that I am most challenged by my own lack of discipline. I can get sidetracked easily, I struggle to maintain a routine, and lack structure.

3. What natural skill or quality can help me move forward? - King of Wands - I think I’m generally a well respected and well liked person who brings a lot of optimism and new ideas to my workplace and to my team. I don’t know if I would consider myself a natural leader but I can take control of a situation if I need to.

4. What type of work environment suits me best? - King of Cups - Any work environment where I can lead but also mentor and provide a supportive environment. Maybe leading a team and leading with empathy.

5. What new possibility or direction may be opening for me? - Page of Swords clarified by The Star - This was the most muddled for me, hence asking for clarification, but my best guess is that potentially a new job or new educational or training opportunity is coming soon and I should be hopeful about it? (Would be great since I’m dipping my toe into looking for a new role kind of)

6. If I follow this path what kind of result could unfold? - King of Pentacles - Either in the short term, could reflect a new mentor coming in to help me with my career. Or long term, I become the leader I want to be and achieve great success in my career. Hard to tell if it’s a person or a result.
