Aussie Autistic bloke, just trying to get some groceries.

Autism Community

To the many and the few, who may or may not be able to assist.

I am a 39 year old high functioning (on paper) Australian bloke, and although I managed to recently get my citizenship (back in March, from kiwi to Aussie, finally, after some 20 years) and in April I started my Jobseeker payments.

I am midway through the process of my Disability Pension application.

I live in a caravan park on the edge of the urban/rural line, and with no personal vehicle or transport, I am heavily reliant on delivery and on the odd person in the park who can take me into town.

I was employed until June 2025, and of course, through a long and painful journey, have finally cleared my rental arrears, and my outstanding power bills (all handling internally by the park manager, whom I have had the misfortune of dealing with since nov 25)

Anyway. I am seeking some basic help today. I am in dire need of groceries, some replacement cooking appliances, and we will not talk about my poor dying PC (the source of my mental stability)

My microwave has finally died, leaving me with a relatively new Airfryer, courtesy of my mother (already paid back) a kettle, and a single butane gas hob, but no butane cans.

A basic microwave from Big W will cost between 50 and 90 AUD

A pack of 4 butane cartridges will cost 6AUD or a box of 12 will cost 18AUD

Finally, a fortnight's groceries, including milk, sugar, small frozen meals etc, delivered by door dash, from ALDI will cost between 150AUD and 200AUD.

I have payid. I have PayPal.

I pray for your mercy, and hope you all stay well
