I mean, from anyone else I'd be like, "sure, logic" but from the woman who completely ignored her kid to attempt communing with ghosts for YEARS... slearly having a baby did nothing to help her. Anyway, Ye Li tells Mo Xiuyao that it's fine if he leaves, she'll write to him and visit if she misses him too much.

The emperor is frustrated because the court wants him not to send Mo Xiuyao to the frontier. His one advisor says that since Prince Ding has been betrayed by the country, he should not be trusted with military power. Someone else is sent instead. Mo Xiuyao talks to the emperor about it, but he's happy with his decision.
