Ep 38: The Empress Dowager is attacked by a bird at night. Her and Ye Li talk about disaster relief. The Empress Dowager asks if Ye Li blames her for the plague at Lishan, Ye Li says she does in a round-about way.
Prince Li suffers a major defeat and is in hiding, trying to recoup his loses. Him and Ye Ying meet again. It is awkward
She starts telling him a childhood story about Ye Li, which is just sad. This is pathetic.
Ye Li goes home. Her room is packed with royal rewards. Poor rich people who pleased the emperor, they need to find room for all the rewards!
Mo Xiuyao sends her a letter and says he kept some weird fruit for her to try (awww).
The emperor is having some Imposter Syndrome with the duke but I don't care. Yeah yeah, it's good that he's worried about being a good ruler etc. etc. Kill some people!
