Best non-packed beach for 4th of July?

looking to go to the beach tomorrow, but with a likely early afternoon arrival. which beach would be recommended to go to with a smaller crowd during 4th of July? seeing fireworks is not a priority and we will be bringing a car so parking would be important as well.

we will get there earlier than afternoon, but just in case, we want to plan for any traffic issues, etc. Preferably 1 hour a way max from Los Angeles proper. thanks la fam!
