[Build Help] 45k INR GPU Dilemma: RX 9060 XT (16GB) vs RTX 5060 Ti (8GB) for Local LLMs, Gaming & Editing

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU with a strict budget of around 45,000 INR. My primary use cases are running local LLMs, gaming, and some video editing.

Here is my main issue: 16GB VRAM is an absolute must for the models and workloads I need.

Looking at current local pricing:

\- The Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is completely out of my budget at roughly 75,000 INR.

\- The Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti 8GB sits right at 45,000 INR, but 8GB VRAM is a dealbreaker for my AI workloads.

\- The AMD RX 9060 XT 16GB is also around 45,000 INR, which perfectly hits my budget and VRAM requirements.

So, I'm stuck between AMD and Nvidia.

My biggest concern is AMD's driver stability and LLM compatibility—specifically the current state of ROCm. For context, I'm a developer and I run Arch and Mint for my environments, mostly building RAGs and agentic workflows. Because I'm technical, I really don't mind diving into the code, configuring things manually, or writing custom scripts to get things running.

However, I want to actually build things, not spend every single weekend fighting my GPU drivers just to keep inference from crashing. I want to avoid a permanent headache.

Has ROCm support on Linux improved enough to justify taking the AMD route here? Or should I compromise on VRAM (which I really don't want to do) just to stay safe in the CUDA ecosystem?

Any advice or recent experiences with the 9060 XT (or similar RDNA4 cards) would be hugely appreciated!
