Repairing matte laminate layer damage?

Hi all,

We had some inexperienced (that's the kindest word I can use) drywall folks who used the wrong tape on our flooring. When they pulled it up, it ripped off the top layer of clear matte on the laminate flooring.

Before we deal with replacement, which requires pulling boards up, I'd like to know if anyone has experience touching this up with any sort of matte lacquer? If so, what do you recommend? Even if it is not perfect, I would prefer to attempt a spot fix before having to redo the floors.
