AITA for not publicly apologizing to a psycho?

When I was 19 my boyfriend and I shared a storage unit with another couple, Rachel and her BF. We also all split hotel payments, saving up to get a shared place together.

Rachel and her BF stopped paying their part of the room payment and we were stuck footing the bill, after we got a place lined up they all of a sudden backed out. Looking back, I’m grateful! My BF (at the time, currently not together) apparently stole a box of plastic earrings from Rachel out of the storage unit that I had no knowledge of until she called freaking out.

Rachel proceeded to destroy my Aunts wedding dress that she gave me, my $80 cowboy boots, and calling the police on ME! Thankfully, I wasn’t charged, but she started spreading lies around town telling people that I apparently paid off the local PD to pew pew her while she was pregnant and that I’m just this terrible person and monster.. then told me she wanted a PUBLIC APOLOGY from me and i literally laughed at her!
