I never grew up mentally. 23 and still 100% dependent on parents.
(Negative self Rant ahead)
I can't explain myself well. I'm a person who can't do anything myself. The real world scares me. I'm dependent on my parents for everything, even solving my problems. I don't have preferences of my own, and I can't make friends.
I only know how to follow what parents say. They are really nice and sweet. I just never left their nest. I need a therapist and some sort of AuDHD analysis done. I don't know how to be a person on my own. I'm sharing this with great difficulty. Imagine the decision making and social skills of a 12 year old. In the body of a 23 year old graduate. That's me, I can't interact with people for shit or find out information I need or even know what's going on around me, what I should do next, etc. I used to do well in school but that tanked after I couldn't make friends and just tried to become like whoever I met, ended badly and now I'm just a hollow person. Very, very behind on everything, and lazy, and just not cut out for the real world. People my age have lived so much seen so much and here I am without any experience. Because I can't live without parents. I wish I never grew up. Any therapists who deal with this sort of a thing pls let me know. I can't handle how behind I am, and it is very evident to everyone else I just can't mingle with people because of how immature I am. Is there any way out.
Tldr: I'm an overgrown 23teen child who is 100% reliant on parents for even the smallest things. Need a therapist to guide me through life because I have no siblings or friends who can understand my situation. Any advise/suggestions appreciated.
