Simple concept, took me way longer to master than I expected — DOD (Die or Dodge)
Hey everyone,
Been working on a small arcade survival game called DOD (Die or Dodge) — built in Godot, targeting Android.
The concept is simple: one-touch controls, enemies close in from every side, you dodge for as long as you can. Difficulty ramps up over time, there's a near-miss bonus system for players who want to push their score higher by playing risky, and a handful of power-ups (Shield, Slow Motion, Double Score, Clear) to keep runs from feeling repetitive.
It's a solo project — pixel art, mechanics, everything. Would genuinely appreciate any feedback, especially on difficulty curve and whether the near-miss system feels rewarding or just stressful.
My current best is 59 seconds / score 708 — curious if anyone can beat it.
