Hello Everyone,

If you trade harmonics (Gartley, Bat, Butterfly, etc.) on NinjaTrader 8, you already know the biggest pain point we all face: *the sheer amount of time it takes to draw and validate the patterns manually.*

By the time you've identified a potential swing, plotted your X, A, B, C, and D points, measured every single Fibonacci leg, and confirmed that the ratios are actually valid... the price has often already moved. Harmonic trading requires absolute precision. If you miss one ratio by a few ticks, you might be trading a pattern that was never truly there to begin with. Plus, if you are watching multiple charts or timeframes, it’s practically impossible to keep up without missing solid setups.

I want to share a tool that completely automates this process: the [PIK Harmonic Patterns Detector Indicator for NinjaTrader 8](https://www.priceisking.com/products/pik-harmonic-patters-detector-indicator-ninjatrader-8).

I’m highlighting this because most commercial harmonic scanners out there run on expensive monthly subscriptions or cost upwards of $350 for a basic suite. This one is a **one-time $78 payment for a lifetime license** (which includes free updates), which is honestly a breath of fresh air in the current trading software space.

# What it actually does on your chart:

Instead of fumbling with drawing tools, you just drop the indicator onto your NT8 chart (it works on time-based, Renko, range, tick, or volume charts) and let it do the heavy lifting. The swing engine constantly tracks pivots and tests every single Fibonacci ratio as the market structure builds.

Here is what really makes it stand out:

**1. Scans 11 Different Patterns Automatically** It doesn't just look for one or two basic setups. The scanner auto-detects 11 different patterns: Gartley, Bat, Butterfly, Crab, Deep Crab, Shark, Cypher, Alt Bat, 5-0, AB=CD, and Three Drives. Each pattern is assigned its own specific color (like gold for the Butterfly or purple for the Cypher), so you know exactly what you are looking at the second you glance at your screen.

**2. Exact Ratios and PRZ Drawn for You** Every X, A, B, C, and D point is labeled with its exact price and the specific Fibonacci leg ratio. The indicator also automatically calculates and draws the Potential Reversal Zone (PRZ). The height of the PRZ box is dynamically scaled to the live Average True Range (ATR), so it stays highly relevant whether the market is dead quiet or incredibly volatile.

**3. Three Profit Targets Mapped Out** As soon as the D point forms, the indicator projects three color-coded profit target lines. This means your potential exits are mapped out on the chart before you even click the buy or sell button, taking the emotion out of your take-profits.

**4. Honest Pivot Tracking (No Hindsight Repainting)** One of the biggest issues with custom indicators is repainting. With the PIK scanner, once a pivot is confirmed, it locks in place. When a setup is still forming, it is clearly marked as a projection (with a "D?"). Once the D point actually confirms, it changes to a solid "D". It shows you what is happening right now, not just perfect hindsight setups.

**5. Fully Customizable** You have complete control over the tool. You can adjust the pivot strength, tweak the Fibonacci ratio tolerances, change every single color, adjust opacity, modify the target lengths, and even toggle off specific patterns if you only want to scan for Gartleys and Bats, for example.

# Who is this actually for?

To be completely transparent (and stated on their site): this is *not* an auto-trading robot that takes trades for you, nor is it a magical get-rich-quick indicator.

This tool is strictly for traders who already understand the value of harmonic patterns but want to eliminate the tedious manual drawing process. It’s for traders who want their reversal zones and targets mapped out precisely so they can focus their mental energy on actual trade execution and risk management, rather than playing geometry games on their charts.

If you use NinjaTrader 8 and want a permanent, highly customizable tool without the absurd subscription fees, I highly recommend checking it out.
