I saw a theory online that the Man in yellow could possibly be jade and Tabitha’s original cycle’s son that got sacrificed during the first cycle. It makes sense to me and i added some evidence. Let me know what you think !

The theory goes: Jade and Tabitha were the first people in fromsville (obviously). They made some sort of deal with an entity and sacrificed their son. But by doing that they infact cursed him to live forever and become what he is currently. So because they did that, he now forces jade and Tabitha to reincarnate over and over again and force them to sacrifice a child each time.

Evidence: When the MIY and Tabitha were face to face at the RV, he told her that she’s the closest thing he has to a friend. Indicating that there’s some type of hidden relationship somewhere and somehow. The MIY has been doing this so long he just sees it as a game and the extra towns folks are just means to an end because he really wants Tabitha and jade to suffer.

We know this show is very intentional. In one of the paintings, you see a boy in yellow being buried. In another painting, you see what looks like to be Adam & Eve but with an evil force right next to them. See photos below.

Additionally what Sophia said in the diner stuck with me. “God never intended Abraham to sacrifice his son, it was just a test to see if he would”.

I think jade and Tabitha (the originals) made some deal with whatever monster to sacrifice their kid (MIY). But by doing that, they cursed him and he came back as what he is now. Decided he wants purse chaos so he inspires the other town folks to do the same thing. But instead, this time THEY become the monsters with immortality. But it came at a cost. They sacrificed their children AND their own mortality by doing so.

ORRR the angkooey kids could literally be jade & Tabitha’s children that they sacrifice in every cycle. The difference is, victor didn’t get sacrificed in the last cycle. The Man in yellow and boy in white both actively acknowledged that this cycle of people are doing things 100% different. But to the man in yellow, the change in behavior doesn’t matter to him because he’s been so successful in every other cycle, he sees this change as just a part of the game.

It’s like when you’re playing video games against a little sibling. Obviously you beat them every time you play. But your sibling might back out a new combo that you never even knew they knew about so it’s exciting for you to see them trying a little harder and getting a little better. And shoot, the kid might take you all the way down to 1hp. But this is YOUR game. Yeah lil bro might bet getting close to beating you, and it’s nice to see, but at the end of the day you’re still 100% confident that you will win anyways so you’ll let him try whatever. Another example using the same game ideology is when you’re playing against someone and you know you’re insanely good at the game so you’ll let them harm you or do whatever they want in the beginning because you feel like it won’t be enough for them to win anyways.

What do you guys think?
