[V5] Was it ever explained what is divination or is it treated like just a "game ability"?

I don't mean just Klein but rather everyone on the fool pathway. Divination itself feels like something that a mere seq 9 shouldn't be able to do with their own powers but rather borrowing powers from the Sefirah Castle (to my knowledge the 9 Serfirots are basically what grants powers to the beyonders, even in the absence of a seq 0). Was this ever explained
