Tracksaw question

If I set my tracksaw to cut along a line I draw on a piece of wood. Then I find it's about a millimetre off.

Is the splinter guard on your tracksaw accurate for cut location at all cut depths ? It seems like mine is only accurate at the deepest cutting depth.
